Do You Have A Story To Tell?

This is the path to getting your life's story and your how-to strategies for success out in to the world (and GETTING PAID for it)!

Brendon Burchard started from scratch and made $4.6 million in 24 months through books, speeches, seminars andonline programs. Now he's showing how he, and his friends like Tony Robbins, John Gray, Brian Tracy, David Bach, Debbie Ford and others DOMINATE their topics.

Brendon's recent video giveaways for his Experts Academy promotion are legendary. He really could have charged a ton of money for them but he just gave them away to add value. (That's good marketing).

You can still access his webinar and 5 other insanely good training videos, no charge, here: https://burchardgroup.infusionsoft.com/go/webinar/nkodell/

I just thought you'd love to see the training before he pulls them all down and puts them into a product. Watch now before they disappear. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

UPDATE: Brendon Burchard just reopened Experts Academy this morning to fill some seats left open by declines over the weekend:

Why Fear Limits Your Life Potential

Have you ever felt like fear was preventing you from reaching your full potential in life? If so, you are certainly not alone because fear is one of the biggest obstacles that many people face when trying to create better life circumstances.

Below are some of the most common ways that fear can hold you back:

Fear can prevent you from making positive changes.
Sometimes fear can make even the smallest changes seem extremely uncomfortable. For example, you may be deeply dissatisfied with your job, but feel nervous or uncertain about finding and applying for a better one. Or you may have always dreamed of buying your own home but worry that the responsibility would be too much to handle.

Fear can prevent you from breaking destructive habits.
We all know that smoking, poor dietary choices, excessive alcohol and a sedentary lifestyle are a recipe for health problems, but we often gravitate toward these habits because they help numb our anxious or fearful feelings. If you have ever tried to break a bad habit like this, you know how stressful it can be because suddenly you are filled with anxiety and you don’t know how to handle it except to run back to your “pacifiers” – the very habits you are trying to break.

Fear can prevent you from taking risks.
Many of us shy away from risk because we fear negative consequences. For example, you may hesitate to invest your money because you fear losing it, or avoid starting a new relationship because you were so hurt by the last one. What most of us fail to realize is that risk can also bring great rewards. Avoiding risk may help us avoid negative possibilities but we also miss the excitement and joy that come from positive outcomes.

Fear can prevent you from pursuing your goals.
Have you ever dreamed of doing something great but were never able to push yourself to do it? Perhaps you dreamed of being a stand-up comedian but dreaded the thought of public speaking, or you desperately wanted to be a bestselling author but were too afraid to pen that novel lurking inside of you.

Fear can prevent you from expanding your life.
Social anxiety is another common way that fear can limit your potential. It may prevent you from attending networking functions so your career or business can’t grow properly, or you may avoid taking that much needed vacation to relax and explore other cultures because you fear flying or being on a cruise ship.

How to Stop Fear from Limiting Your Potential
It’s important to note that all of these fears are most often groundless. They are merely a perception that things “could” go wrong – but that doesn’t mean they will.

Rather than trying to force your way through the fear, you may find it easier to explore the many ways that fear can be effectively released from your mind, emotions, and body. When you know how to release the fear, you simply handle it as you would any minor obstacle and then continue on your way to creating the best life you possibly can.

"I Don't Want to Be Online - Why Do I Need a Website?"

Although this seems like a no brainer, I actually talked to a business owner the other day who flat out refuses to be online. He is committed to maintaining a personal relationship with his customers. A noble desire indeed, but, as I tried to point out to him, not in line with what his customers (and potential customers) are doing!

According to the PEW Internet & American Life Project, 73% of American adult internet users are online on any given day. Email, Research, News & Weather top the list of activities. But they are also looking for information on products, services and hobbies or interests.

Chances are this gentleman's customers are looking for information in his business category online first, compiling a list of businesses to investigate further. Without an online presence he won't even make the list. And that is a sad fact given his commitment to customer service, both for him and those customers who will end up elsewhere possibly having a bad experience (he has told me his industry is fraught with online misrepresentations - all the more reason for him to be online!)

No matter what your business is - retail, service, non-profit - you NEED an online presence. And please, more than just a listing on Citysearch on other online directory where you are lumped in with your competition!

That level of services and features you need is dependent on your business. A few smaller businesses can get by with just a page or two, but for most business a more robust presence is needed. This is not the time to cut corners, have your nephew's best friend "make you a website" or try to take the cheap route. This is the first impression most of your future customers will have of you. In an environment of billions of webpages you want to not only be found, but to stand out as a respectable and professional choice. Don’t try to cram an encyclopedia of information in two pages, making your viewers scroll to eternity to find anything. If your business can’t be properly represented in 5 pages, get more! You may spend more but it will be worth it!

A well planned out, easily navigated and informative site will increase your bottom line and improve your customer service! If you have a site and it is not bringing you customers, find out why, and fix it! The internet IS here to stay - make it your friend!

Thoughts Become Things

"All that we are is a result of what we have thought" - Buddha

The Law of Attraction is not a new concept, in spite of the gusto around the movie, The Secret a few years back. Around for thousands of years (and probably more) it is the concept that what we focus our attention on is what we attract into our lives.

Good or bad. The Universe does not understand such concepts; it is only in our human minds that good and bad play out. The same for big things (a car, a house) or small things (a parking space, a friend calling you). The Universe simply provides you with what you are thinking.

"This is gonna be a bad day" . . .guess what? You have a bad day. "I'll never make it on time." "I'll be alone forever." You get the idea.

This is one of my greatest concerns and issues with the media focus on the economy (you can substitute any issue here: war, famine, the environment). By focusing on the negative are we really creating the driving force to the economic "crisis"? I have to believe that there is a positive side to the current events of our time. Even if it's that people are questioning spending money they don't have on things they don't need - yes, I understand that commerce is a good thing, but I'm sure if we try really hard we can come up with something better than the 47th version of the G. Foreman grill. . . we'll leave that for another day.

I challenge everyone to begin each day by being grateful for the things you DO have. I taught my children long ago that there will always be people who have more than you do, and people that have much less. Instead of dwelling on what you don't have, be thankful for what you do have.

Let go of ANTs (automatic negative thoughts) as soon as they pop into your head; IMMEDIATELY think of its positive opposite (Bad Hair Day = I'm healthy and HAVE hair).

Visualize what you want as if you already have it. But make sure it's something you really want! I worked with a client who thought she wanted a big house. By the time we got to the bottom of her desire she realized that she didn't want a big house at all (she hated cleaning) but she did want the feeling of success and respect she felt it would bring. The Universe is funny that way - it will only support you in your desires are in alignment with who you are now.

If you want to take it a step further, check out Video Dream Boards - short positive videos, customized to your goals, that help you focus on what you want and begin to move your thoughts in alignment with the Universe to bring those things to you. http://VideoDreamBoard.info

Try The Law of Attraction this week. See if you can go through a day focused on the positive, what you "have" (even if it hasn't shown up yet) and what you're grateful for. Then do another day, and another, and another. . . .

How Much Is A Lot of Money??

How Do I Make A LOT Of Money??? I hear that often and that's a question that is different for everyone. As Sheryl Crow penned, "It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got."

Many programs tout making hundreds or even thousands of dollars a day. Yes, there are programs that can produce those results. . . for some people. . . on some days. Rarely are they as easy as the ads make it sound and even more rarely do these programs produce at that level for any length of time.

I think there are better options for long term residual (ongoing) income through established & reputable direct sales companies but this path requires a more hands on approach and success is dependent upon matching your personality with the company/product/compensation plan.

Still, in this economy having "more money" is a good thing at any level. There are many ways to create supplemental income, or replace your current income. I've outlined a few and have more to come, but in this blog entry I want to talk about what having even a little more money a month means.

Some people disparage programs offering a paltry $300 a month in extra income. But is $300 a month such a bad thing? Did you know that in order to generate $300 in an interest bearing account you would have to have $90,000 in that account?

$300 a week? $360,000 in that same account!

So next time you're considering an opportunity that looks solid but doesn't have the lure of "thousands of dollars a day" don't just toss it aside. If you're looking for long term income, you may be better off than a flash in the pan option.

Remember the tortoise and the hare: Slow and Steady wins the race!!

"Profits Are Better Than Wages" - Jim Rohn

How Do You Build A Million Dollar Business??

1) You have to work! But not hard if you work smart!
2) You have to be ethical. There's no way around this for long term success.
3) You have to invest either money or time! Leverage is the key if you are short on either one!
4) Make sure you have the proper training. Learn from the Masters!

If you have ever considered starting a network marketing business NOW is the time to do it! Endorsed by Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, David Bach and many other great business leaders, Network Marketing (aka Direct Sales) allows the average person to build a million dollar business with a minimal financial investment. It doesn't matter what your education is, family background, financial situation; PhD or GED, it doesn't matter!!

Franchises are restrictive and can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars or more. Starting a business from the ground up is costly, in time, money and your health! Network marketing is something we do every day, only most people don't get paid for it (how many people have you told to see a movie or eat at a particular restaurant??)

Corporate America continues to downsize, cut back, layoff and yet the CEOs walk away with millions - that, folks, is a PYRAMID!! If you THINK you know about Network Marketing but don't have a business, you DON'T know about network marketing. If and when you understand the POWER of this business model, you will be all over it!!

If you want more information, please reply to this post. I'm happy to talk with you about the different options, tell you why I gave up the corporate world about 4 years ago and have never looked back.

You can also check out the FTC publication, "The Bottom Line About Multilevel Marketing Plans" - BTW, "multilevel" is a compensation plan, not a business plan (http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt008.shtm).

You may decide you want more info about my company, or you may want to check out several different companies. The most important thing is that you CHECK IT OUT!!! I believe so strongly in Network Marketing, having spent over 20 years in traditional advertising/marketing, that I believe EVERYONE should own their own business!

Remember, if you don't do anything different, nothing will change!
